We address the 3 most urgent needs of the aging population-avoiding falls, staying strong, and maintaining independence. A physical therapist will address these needs through balance training, exercise progression, and education. Telehealth is also a great option during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Although we specialize in geriatrics, we also treat adults of all ages if appropriate for our services.
Our physical therapist treat a variety of orthopedic conditions, such as pre & post surgical rehab, joint replacement rehab, and many other movement disorders following surgery or traumatic events.
We treat various balance disorders, stroke, Parkinson's, and many more.
Our physical therapist is now certified in LSVT-BIG or Parkinson's Disease management. See the LSVT BIG Fact Sheet below for more information.
We can also train on fall prevention and recovery. Various balance assessments are completed to determine the areas of deficits. Our therapist is certified in OTAGO.
We provide treatment for various conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(COPD), decreased activity tolerance, deconditioning, and much more.
We treat acute or chronic pain, such as arthritis, back pain, knee pain, neck pain, any other joint pain, and sciatica.
Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo is a condition that may cause dizziness. We provide a detailed assessment to determine if vertigo is the actual cause of dizziness, or if it is related to medication or other conditions. Vestibular treatment performed by the physical therapist, and home exercises given.
Our mobile clinic also treats patients with Alzheimer's/Dementia, which can be complex depending on the severity of the disease. We tailor physical therapy treatment programs based upon the patient's level of understanding. This may be through various functional activities, or other activities they enjoy.
